How much does FedEx cost from Nigeria?
There is no single price. FedEx Nigeria publishes rate guides as downloadable PDFs (export rates, import rates, International Priority Express rates, and a guide to value-added services and surcharges), and all its rates are in US dollars. FedEx says it switched from naira to dollar pricing on 1 August 2024 because of the naira’s devaluation. When you pay locally, the dollar amount is converted at the rate applied on the day.
Your final price is built from:
- Weight. Actual weight or volumetric (dimensional) weight, whichever is higher, so a large, light box can cost more than you expect.
- Destination zone. FedEx groups countries into zones with different rates.
- Service. Priority Express costs more than slower options.
- Fuel surcharge. FedEx Express uses a dynamic fuel surcharge that follows the price of kerosene-type jet fuel, so it changes over time.
