- Get clear photos of every document and the chassis number. The VIN is usually on the dashboard near the windscreen, the driver’s door frame and the engine bay. Check that it is the same everywhere and on every document.
- Check the insurance on NIID. Go to askniid.org and use “Check Policy”, or dial *565*11# and follow the prompts. If no valid policy shows, treat the insurance certificate as suspect.
