For Cabo Verde Airlines cargo booking, start with the cargo representative for the country where the goods will depart. Ask for a freight quotation and written acceptance for the actual shipment. A passenger booking or an extra-baggage purchase does not establish an unaccompanied cargo reservation.

The airline’s official office directory includes a Cargo World entry under France and a dedicated cargo contact under Portugal. Use that directory to select the relevant office and confirm current responsibility for your origin. A contact listing does not guarantee space on every passenger route.

How to make a Cabo Verde Airlines cargo enquiry

Tell the representative where the goods are collected, which airport or island they should reach and when they need to arrive. Ask whether they can accept bookings directly from individuals or require a freight forwarder. Confirm whether the quoted endpoint is an airport cargo facility or an address.

Prepare a complete shipment brief

  • Origin and destination, shipping date and delivery deadline.
  • Contents, package count, gross weights and dimensions.
  • Any batteries, liquids, chemicals, perishables or fragile items.
  • Sender, receiver and destination collection contacts.
  • Required airport handling, customs assistance or road delivery.

For goods continuing beyond the arrival airport, identify the onward service before dispatch. If the proposed routing has a connection, ask who handles the shipment during transfer and whether all legs are confirmed together. Avoid treating a route map as a guaranteed cargo itinerary.

Cargo rates and total shipping costs

Request a current quote for the actual package measurements and contents. Ask how chargeable weight is calculated, whether a minimum charge applies and which screening, documentation and terminal costs are included. Passenger baggage prices should not be used as freight rates.

For commercial goods, agree who handles export and import formalities and who pays destination charges. Compare quotations with the same endpoint: an airport-to-airport price and a door-delivery price cover different work. Ask about payment currency, quote validity and the cost of a change to the departure.

Packing and airport handover

Confirm package limits and packing requirements before buying a crate or sending a driver. Give a precise contents description, including batteries, liquids, food or fragile parts. Special handling and acceptance must be approved for the shipment; a generic description such as personal items may leave important questions unanswered.

Get the receiving facility, opening hours and handover cutoff in writing. Keep the booking reference and transport documents available. For multiple pieces, label them clearly and retain a packing list so the receiver can check the consignment.

Collection and onward delivery

Give the recipient the arrival contact and release requirements before dispatch. Ask who advises when the goods are available and whether identification, authorisation or customs release is required. The aircraft’s arrival time is not automatically the cargo collection time.

Cabo Verde Airlines cargo questions

Can I use Manage Booking to reserve freight?

Ask the cargo representative for the freight process. The passenger booking system is not evidence of a cargo reservation.

Are cargo rates fixed for every route?

Request a quote covering your origin, destination, goods and package measurements.

Does the cargo quote include home delivery?

Only if that delivery leg is expressly included. Otherwise arrange collection and onward transport separately.

Turn your enquiry into a workable shipping plan

For goods destined for a shop or household on an island, check the entire journey before accepting an airport-only quote. The consignee may need an onward transfer or local delivery after cargo release. Tell the representative whether the goods can wait for a later departure or must travel together. For a consolidated order, obtain final piece measurements before pricing. Identify the party responsible for arranging each onward leg so the receiver does not discover a missing service after the goods arrive.

Compare the complete quotation

Ask for the total payable for the same shipment and delivery endpoint. A lower flight charge can leave screening, storage, handling and road transport to be paid separately. Check the quotation’s expiry date, payment currency and what happens if the flight changes. Identify who will notify the receiver when the cargo is ready and who pays for a delay in collection. Keep written acceptance with the booking reference before releasing the goods.

How Travo can assist

For a consignment travelling into or out of Nigeria, Travo’s international shipping service offers freight coordination, supplier collection and consolidation, customs support through licensed clearing partners and onward delivery. If imported stock needs holding before distribution, ask about warehouse storage and fulfilment. Request the scope for your actual origin and destination, including any overseas partner arrangements and local delivery charges.

Request a shipment plan from Travo with your collection and delivery addresses, goods description, dimensions, weight and deadline. Ask which services are included, which need separate approval and what the delivery estimate depends on. This lets you coordinate the ground journey with the airline’s confirmed acceptance.
