PMT online booking: step by step
- Go to pmt.ng/pricing and choose your departure terminal, destination and travel date.
- Compare the buses shown. The board lists the class (for example Premium AC or Standard NO/AC), the price, the departure time and the seats available.
- Select your seat and enter the passenger details exactly as they appear on your ID.
- Pay through the secure online gateway, or reserve and pay at the terminal.
- Save the confirmation and arrive early at the terminal with your ID.

Standard vs premium: which PMT bus should you book?
On the 29 September board, the premium air-conditioned bus from Enugu to Abuja cost ₦15,500 more than the standard non-AC bus. On Aba–Abuja the gap was only ₦4,000. For long, hot daytime journeys, the premium bus is often worth the extra money. For short hops such as Aba–Enugu, most travellers take standard. Always check which class you are paying for before you confirm.
Travel tips for a smooth PMT journey
- Book ahead in peak season. December, Easter and Sallah periods sell out, and waiting for a bus to fill at the terminal can take from 30 minutes to over 2 hours.
- Plan for long days. Lagos to Enugu or Aba typically takes 8 to 11 hours by road. Leave early and carry water and snacks.
- Label your luggage and ask at the terminal about charges for extra or bulky items. PMT’s site does not publish a luggage allowance.
- Use official channels only. Pay on pmt.ng or at the terminal, never to a stranger offering “cheap seats”.
