A group transport enquiry in Lagos should start with the number of people, luggage and itinerary. A minivan, minibus, bus and large coach may all move a group, but they can offer very different access, comfort, bag storage and parking requirements. The smallest vehicle with enough advertised seats is not always the right one for the trip.

Names and capacities vary between suppliers and models. Toyota Nigeria’s official model range includes passenger and commercial vehicles such as Hiace and Coaster, but a name alone does not establish the layout of the vehicle offered for hire. Ask for its current seating configuration and permitted passenger count, and whether all required seats have suitable restraints.
Count luggage before counting the last seat
Send the number of suitcases, boxes, instruments or other equipment, with approximate sizes. A vehicle that fits a group on a short office shuttle may not fit the same people travelling from the airport with large cases. Do not plan to obstruct aisles or exits, and do not assume an unused seat is an acceptable substitute for proper baggage storage.
For a church, school, sports or wedding group, identify what travels in addition to personal bags. Ask whether equipment needs a separate van or delivery arrangement. For a group split across several vehicles, keep a passenger list, a named lead contact and a plan for luggage and late arrivals so people and essential items reach the correct destination.
Airport, hotel and event transfers
Give flight numbers, arrival dates, terminals and hotel addresses when booking an airport group pickup. Not everyone may clear arrivals at the same time. Confirm the meeting point, waiting allowance, luggage capacity and what happens after a flight delay. If the group uses different flights, agree whether transport waits, leaves in stages or uses separate pickups.
For an event, provide the start and finish times, pickup areas, return requirements and vehicle waiting arrangements. Staff shuttles and recurring journeys
A regular staff service needs more than a daily vehicle price. Supply the working days, shift times, pickup sequence, expected passenger numbers and changes during holidays or overtime. Establish the process for updating passenger lists and communicating a missed pickup. Ask how breakdowns or replacement vehicles are handled and who authorises additional stops.
Do not choose an oversized coach without checking the actual streets, estate gates and turning space. Likewise, a smaller minibus may require multiple trips that increase waiting and operating time. Compare the complete routing plan and quote with the business schedule, not only a daily headline rate. If staff have mobility requirements, identify the access arrangement before a vehicle is confirmed.
Intercity journeys and coach comfort
For Lagos-to-Abuja or another longer journey, request the route, planned rest stops, departure and expected arrival day, driver arrangements and overnight requirements. Check air conditioning, luggage storage and facilities on the actual vehicle. Marketing words such as “luxury” or “executive” do not define one universal specification.

What the group transport quote should include
Ask for the vehicle, passenger and baggage arrangement, driver, fuel, tolls, parking, hours, waiting, additional stops and any return or overnight charges. Specify the cancellation and change process and the deadline for the final passenger count. If a particular model or access feature is essential, make that part of the written agreement rather than a preference mentioned only after payment.
