1. Train (Lagos–Ibadan standard gauge)
The Lagos–Ibadan Train Service (LITS) stops at Abeokuta, which makes it the most predictable way to do this trip. According to the Nigerian Railway Corporation’s published timetable, trains leave Ibadan for Lagos at these times and reach Abeokuta about an hour later:

For the return leg, trains from Lagos call at Abeokuta at 09:31 and 17:31 from Sunday to Thursday (reaching Ibadan at 10:30 and 18:33). On Fridays and Saturdays they call at 09:16, 15:02 and 17:31.
Fares: a February 2026 passenger guide lists the full Lagos–Ibadan fares as ₦3,600 in standard (adult), ₦6,500 in business and ₦9,000 in first class. Petrol has passed ₦1,300 per litre, and road fares across the south-west have risen with it. As a benchmark, The Guardian reported in February 2026 that Ibadan–Osogbo, a slightly longer trip, cost ₦3,500 by bus and ₦4,000 by car, and that Lagos–Ibadan cost ₦3,500–₦6,000. We could not verify a published 2026 park fare for Ibadan–Abeokuta. Ask at the loading bay, and agree the price and your luggage charge before you board.

- Petrol price: in the week of 12 September 2026 the Dangote refinery raised its gantry price to ₦1,350 per litre, then cut it to ₦1,325 later in the month. Park fares usually follow pump prices within days.
