The number of electric cars currently entering a particular estate or office should not be the only basis for infrastructure decisions.
Preparing spare electrical and physical capacity can make expansion easier when more residents, employees or fleet operators begin using EVs.
Nigeria’s charging ecosystem is still developing, with safety, interoperability and standardisation becoming increasingly important considerations. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria has specifically identified EV charging infrastructure as an area requiring reliable and interoperable standards.
That makes choosing compatible equipment and qualified technical partners particularly important.
Equipment Delivery Also Needs Proper Coordination
EV projects involve more than electrical installation. Chargers, switchgear, protective equipment, batteries and other components may need to be transported from ports, warehouses or suppliers to construction sites.
Poor coordination can leave installers waiting while equipment is delayed elsewhere.
