With Uber no longer operating in Nigeria, many drivers are looking for new ride-hailing platforms where they can continue earning. Signing up as a driver usually involves creating an account, submitting documents and completing vehicle or driver verification.
Sign Up as a Bolt Driver
Bolt is one of the major ride-hailing alternatives available to Nigerian drivers. Applicants generally need to be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s licence, government-issued ID, vehicle documents, roadworthiness certification and a smartphone with GPS. Lagos drivers may also need LASSRA and LASDRI cards.
After submitting the required information and documents, Bolt reviews the application before activating the driver’s account.

Drivers can also consider platforms such as inDrive and LagRide, depending on their city and eligibility.
