Planning a holiday should be exciting, but arranging flights, accommodation, airport transfers, and activities separately can quickly become stressful. Finding holiday package deals with flights makes travel planning easier, especially for Nigerians looking to enjoy a vacation without managing several bookings.
Whether you are planning a family holiday in Dubai, a romantic getaway to Zanzibar, or a short break in Accra, choosing the right travel package can help you manage costs and avoid unnecessary complications.
With Travo.ng, travellers can arrange flight bookings, hotel reservations, and transport services that make holiday planning more convenient.
What Is Included in Holiday Package Deals with Flights?
Not every holiday package offers the same services. Some cover flights and accommodation, while others include airport transfers, breakfast, sightseeing, or guided tours.
Before paying, confirm exactly what your package covers.
Common inclusions are:
- Return flights from Lagos or Abuja
- Hotel accommodation for selected nights
- Airport pickup and drop-off
- Breakfast or selected meals
- Scheduled sightseeing activities
- Travel coordination and booking assistance
Check whether baggage allowances, visa fees, tourism taxes, and travel insurance are included. These additional expenses can significantly affect your final holiday budget.
Finding Affordable Holiday Package Deals with Flights from Nigeria
Flight prices change depending on your destination, travel dates, airline, and booking period.
For example, travelling from Lagos to Dubai during December usually attracts higher demand than travelling during quieter periods.
Similarly, flights to Accra may become more expensive around major festivals, public holidays, and popular events.
To manage your budget, consider these practical steps:
- Book early: Start comparing options several weeks or months before departure.
- Choose flexible dates: Midweek departures sometimes offer better fares.
- Compare total costs: A cheaper package may exclude baggage or airport transfers.
- Check hotel locations: Staying far from attractions can increase transportation expenses.
- Confirm flight details: Review departure times, connections, and baggage policies.
A slightly more expensive package may offer better overall value when essential services are included.
Popular Holiday Destinations for Nigerian Travellers
Different destinations suit different holiday budgets and travel preferences.
Accra, Ghana: Suitable for weekend breaks, cultural experiences, beach visits, and short family holidays.
Dubai, UAE: Popular for shopping, sightseeing, luxury accommodation, and family entertainment.
Zanzibar, Tanzania: Attractive for beach holidays, honeymoon trips, and relaxing coastal experiences.
Kigali, Rwanda: Ideal for travellers interested in organised city tours, nature, and cultural attractions.
Before booking international travel, confirm current visa requirements, passport validity rules, and destination entry conditions.
Avoid These Mistakes When Booking Holiday Packages
One common mistake is paying for a holiday package without checking the flight itinerary.
A package advertised as a five-day holiday might include late arrival and early departure flights, leaving fewer usable sightseeing days.
Another issue is accommodation quality. Always confirm the hotel’s location, room type, cancellation policy, and available facilities.
For family trips, check children’s flight fares, hotel occupancy limits, and whether airport transportation can accommodate everyone comfortably.
Travellers departing from cities outside Lagos should also consider the cost of connecting domestic flights.
