Royal Air Maroc cargo booking begins with a clear shipment brief and the right enquiry channel. RAM Cargo publishes general freight, specialist handling and charter services. Ask for the product, routing and acceptance that fit your actual goods, rather than treating a passenger reservation as a freight booking.
The official cargo booking and support page lists cargo@royalairmaroc.com for bookings and customer support, and chartercargo@royalairmaroc.com for charter requests. Use the charter channel when the enquiry concerns a dedicated aircraft requirement.
Choose the relevant RAM cargo service
The RAM Cargo website lists General Cargo, Fresh, Live, Val, Outsize and Charter products. Explain whether the load is ordinary boxed stock, fresh goods, live animals, valuables or oversized equipment. The team should assess the requirements of the selected product for the proposed movement.
A product listing does not settle the space available on your chosen date. For a large piece, send dimensions, photographs and handling requirements. If staff accompany the load, describe their requirement separately from the goods.
Prepare a complete shipment brief
- Origin and destination, shipping date and delivery deadline.
- Contents, package count, gross weights and dimensions.
- Any batteries, liquids, chemicals, perishables or fragile items.
- Sender, receiver and destination collection contacts.
- Required airport handling, customs assistance or road delivery.
Request Royal Air Maroc cargo rates
Ask for a quote covering the final piece count, weight and dimensions. Confirm the chargeable-weight calculation, minimum charge and included screening, terminal handling and transport-document costs. Give the required delivery endpoint, whether that is a cargo facility or a street address.
For a charter, request the mission scope rather than comparing its price with a scheduled per-kilogram rate. Ask which positioning, permits, loading arrangements and waiting time are included. For either service, check quote validity, payment currency and the conditions for a date or load change.
Special handling and packaging
For fresh or temperature-sensitive goods, give the commodity, packing method and required conditions. Ask what handling is available at origin, any connection and destination. For valuables, confirm the approved security and release process. For live animals, request the applicable acceptance and documentation instructions for the journey.
Declare batteries, liquids and other restricted contents before booking. Do not describe a mixed consignment as general cargo without explaining items that need separate assessment. Wait for packing instructions before paying for a custom crate if the load has an unusual shape.
Routing, airport handover and updates
Ask whether the proposed booking is direct, connecting or includes a road leg. If a connection through Casablanca or another station is offered, establish who handles the transfer and communicates a changed movement. Confirm the complete accepted itinerary rather than relying on a passenger route map.
Obtain the cargo receiving address, opening hours and cutoff before dispatch. Keep the booking reference, invoice and packing list available. Ask how to obtain movement updates and which contact can explain a part-shipment or delay.
Customs release and collection
Agree who acts as exporter and importer and who arranges clearance. The consignee should know the release contact, required identification and any outstanding destination charges. Arrange onward transport around the cargo facility’s release process and the recipient’s receiving hours.
RAM cargo booking questions
Which email should I use for a charter?
The published charter contact is chartercargo@royalairmaroc.com. Recheck the official directory when enquiring.
Are all cargo products available everywhere?
Ask for acceptance and handling confirmation for your actual route and goods.
Does the flight quote cover home delivery?
Only when the quoted scope expressly includes onward delivery.
Turn your enquiry into a workable shipping plan
For a business sending fresh goods, the price comparison should include the handling conditions and delivery window as well as the flight rate. Ask whether the recipient can complete clearance and collect promptly after release. A longer connection or a late collection can matter more than a small rate difference. For outsize equipment, the key question is physical acceptance and the loading plan. Build the enquiry around those decisions so the proposed RAM service solves the actual shipment requirement.
Compare the complete quotation
Ask for the total payable for the same shipment and delivery endpoint. A lower flight charge can leave screening, storage, handling and road transport to be paid separately. Check the quotation’s expiry date, payment currency and what happens if the flight changes. Identify who will notify the receiver when the cargo is ready and who pays for a delay in collection. Keep written acceptance with the booking reference before releasing the goods.
Our EgyptAir cargo booking guide explains another North African freight service for comparison using the same load and endpoint.
How Travo can assist
For a consignment travelling into or out of Nigeria, Travo’s international shipping service offers freight coordination, supplier collection and consolidation, customs support through licensed clearing partners and onward delivery. If imported stock needs holding before distribution, ask about warehouse storage and fulfilment. Request the scope for your actual origin and destination, including any overseas partner arrangements and local delivery charges.
Request a shipment plan from Travo with your collection and delivery addresses, goods description, dimensions, weight and deadline. Ask which services are included, which need separate approval and what the delivery estimate depends on. This lets you coordinate the ground journey with the airline’s confirmed acceptance.
