Flybird cargo charter searches can bring up different businesses in different countries. If your requirement is in Nigeria, identify the intended company first. Nigeria’s Flybird publicly advertises private jet charter and aircraft management; a cargo movement requires its own feasibility and acceptance enquiry.

Which Flybird operator do you mean?

Flybird’s Nigerian website focuses on domestic and international private charter flights and aircraft services. A separate Fly Bird business in Egypt lists air cargo charter among its commercial services. Their similar names do not make their offers, contacts or aircraft interchangeable.

Use the company name and website shown on your quotation. If an agent has simply said “Flybird,” ask it to identify the contracting business and actual operating carrier before progressing.

How to enquire about a Nigerian freight requirement

Contact the Nigerian business through its official channel and state that the requirement is cargo. Ask whether it can offer an approved arrangement for the goods or refer you to appropriate capacity. Private passenger charter advertising alone does not establish a freighter service.

Provide the airports, cargo-ready date, delivery deadline, commodity, package count, individual weights and packed dimensions. Explain whether people need to accompany the goods and whether the shipment includes batteries, fuel-bearing equipment or controlled-temperature products.

Aircraft suitability comes before the quote

A business jet’s cabin and baggage compartments may impose significant restrictions on freight. Door access, usable dimensions, load restraint and floor loading all need assessment. Do not select an aircraft purely from a passenger count or published range.

For an urgent spare part, provide clear photographs and describe how it will be packed. For a larger load, a dedicated cargo aircraft may be more appropriate. The operator should confirm the proposed configuration and acceptance in writing.

What to ask the charter provider

  • Who operates the aircraft and holds responsibility for the flight?
  • What load is accepted on the proposed route?
  • Who arranges loading and unloading equipment?
  • Does the quote include positioning, handling and permits?
  • What happens if the dispatch date or package dimensions change?

Also establish who handles road transport and customs. A flight quote should clearly distinguish airline movement from ground services so you can plan the complete journey.

Frequently asked questions

Is Flybird cargo available through an instant booking form?

The Nigerian site used here establishes a private charter enquiry offer, not an instant public freight product. Obtain acceptance instructions directly.

Can a third party arrange the flight?

A broker or forwarder may arrange capacity, but it should identify the carrier, commercial scope and transport documents. Confirm the arrangement before dispatch.

Turn your enquiry into a workable shipping plan

When a private charter is being considered for a spare or valuable item, state whether anyone will accompany the goods. Describe the consignment separately from passenger luggage, including its contents, packaging and dimensions. Ask who performs the aircraft assessment and who gives final approval for carriage. If the operator cannot accept it, keep the load brief ready for a cargo specialist. Do not rely on a passenger quotation to establish freight capacity or the arrangements for receiving and releasing unaccompanied goods.

Compare the complete quotation

Ask for the total payable for the same shipment and delivery endpoint. A lower flight charge can leave screening, storage, handling and road transport to be paid separately. Check the quotation’s expiry date, payment currency and what happens if the flight changes. Identify who will notify the receiver when the cargo is ready and who pays for a delay in collection. Keep written acceptance with the booking reference before releasing the goods.

How Travo can assist

Travo’s haulage services can assess the road movement of bulky equipment, including the vehicle and loading support required. For goods entering Nigeria, our international shipping service offers freight coordination, customs support through licensed clearing partners and onward delivery. Agree how these ground arrangements connect with the operator’s charter plan and whether airport storage or a further transfer is needed.

Request a shipment plan from Travo with your collection and delivery addresses, goods description, dimensions, weight and deadline. Ask which services are included, which need separate approval and what the delivery estimate depends on. This lets you coordinate the ground journey with the airline’s confirmed acceptance.
