To verify the NYSC Senate List, prospective corps members need to confirm that their names and academic details have been submitted and approved by their institution for NYSC mobilisation.

For locally trained graduates, NYSC states that only graduates whose names appear on the Senate or Academic Board Approved Result list submitted by their institution can proceed with online registration. (NYSC)

How to Verify the NYSC Senate List

You can check your status through the official NYSC Senate List verification service.

You will generally need to provide:

  • Institution
  • Matriculation number
  • Graduation details
  • Other information requested on the verification page

Make sure your matriculation number is entered correctly, as NYSC specifically requires locally trained graduates to use the correct matriculation number during the mobilisation process. (NYSC)

What If Your Name Is Not Found?

If your name does not appear, don’t immediately assume that you are not eligible for NYSC.

Your institution may still be processing, correcting or uploading its Senate/Academic Board approved results. NYSC explains that institutions submit these approved results to its Mobilisation Division for vetting and screening. (NYSC)

If you cannot verify your name, contact your school’s Students’ Affairs Division or NYSC mobilisation officer and ask them to confirm whether your details have been submitted.

Check that your:

  • Name is correctly spelt
  • Matriculation number is accurate
  • Course information is correct
  • Graduation details are properly recorded
  • JAMB details are correct where applicable

Senate List Verification and NYSC Registration

Verifying your name is an important step before NYSC registration. NYSC’s official guidance states that locally trained graduates whose names appear on their institution’s approved list can access the registration process. (NYSC)

The mobilisation timetable changes for each batch, so prospective corps members should check the latest NYSC timetable rather than relying on dates from an older batch. For example, the official 2026 Batch A Stream II timetable listed online registration for 12–18 March 2026. (NYSC)

Travelling for NYSC

Once you receive your NYSC call-up information and know your state of deployment, transportation planning becomes the next consideration. Travelling to an orientation camp can involve long-distance road travel, luggage and tight reporting schedules.

Travo.ng can help with transportation and travel planning for prospective corps members travelling to their deployment states. Depending on the route, this can include intercity transportation and other mobility arrangements.

Always verify your NYSC status through the official NYSC platform and deal directly with your institution if your name is missing from the Senate List.
